Hopkinton Communications Committee 

The Communications Committee will be a temporary committee consisting of five members appointed by the Town Council, and having a Town Council member as Liaison. This Committee is responsible for exploring strategies and resources that will foster and promote a positive and productive dialogue with community members. Specifically, the Committee will: 

    • Explore ways in which the Town can better communicate with the public through the use of various vehicles, such as social media and the Town website 
    • Consider the establishment and management of a Town newsletter and other forms of communications, including costs and personnel required 
    • Explore ways in which other Boards and Commissions can better communicate with residents as well as with each other 

The Town Council liaison will be the conduit for all communications between the Committee and all town entities as well as other boards, and commissions. All interim suggestions, ideas, questions, etc. directed to the Town Manager, IT Director or others will be funneled through the Council Liaison. 

Residents interested in serving must be registered to vote.  Please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 377-7777 if you have any questions, would like information on a particular board or commission and to request an application.  You may apply in person at the Hopkinton Town Hall, 1 Town House Road, Hopkinton, RI 02833, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
