The Town of Hopkinton is now reporting that the Rhode Island Departmentof Health has lifted the Boil Water Order for those residences and businesses on the Hopkinton Water Line.

The entire waterline has now been chlorinated.

Hopkinton is an historic town located in the southwest corner of Rhode Island. The size of the town is 44 square miles and the population is approximately 8,000. It was incorporated in March 1757 and consists of four villages, Ashaway, Bradford, Hope Valley, and Rockville. Hopkinton has over 1,000 acres of open space, supporting various recreational activities, including hiking, fishing and canoeing.

Hopkinton is part of the Chariho School District, which also includes the towns of Charlestown and Richmond.
