Wood-Pawcatuck Wild and Scenic Stewardship Council Alternate Vacancy

The Town of Hopkinton is looking to appoint a Hopkinton resident as an alternate member to the Wood-Pawcatuck Wild and Scenic Stewardship Council. The purpose of the Council is to provide a forum to prioritize, discuss and resolve river and watershed issues across town and state lines; to implement the Wood-Pawcatuck Wild and Scenic Rivers Stewardship Plan; to periodically update the plan; coordinate with other stakeholders on the implementation of plan goals and actions. The term is for two years or as determined necessary by the Stewardship Council and the Town. Meetings are held on a bi-monthly basis or as often as it deems appropriate.

Residents interested in serving must be registered to vote.  Please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 377-7777 if you have any questions.  You may apply in person at the Hopkinton Town Hall, 1 Town House Road, Hopkinton, RI 02833, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
