ATTENTION HOPKINTON VOTERS

General Election

November 8, 2022 

The Hopkinton Board of Canvassers hereby provides the following information and deadlines relating to the November 8, 2022 General Election:

The last date to register to vote for the General Election is Sunday, October 9, 2022.  Individuals may fill out voter registration forms available at a kiosk which will be located at the front of the Town Clerks Office, 1 Town House Rd., Hopkinton, RI 02833 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  There is a drop box available to accept the completed voter registration forms located in front of the Town Hall Meeting Room Entrance.

The regular mail ballot application deadline is October 18, 2022 by 4:00 PM. The emergency voting period begins October 19, 2022 and expires November 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM.

The preliminary lists of eligible voters will be posted for inspection at the Hopkinton Town Clerk’s Office on October 14, 2022.  Persons who claim they have been erroneously included or omitted must file an affidavit with the Board of Canvassers within five days of the posting. The Board of Canvassers will canvass and correct voting lists on October 18, 2022 at 9:30 AM.

 

Three polling precincts in Hopkinton will be open for voting from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on November 8, 2022

Precinct #1401- Ashaway Elementary School, 12 Hillside Avenue, Ashaway – District 1

Precinct #1402 – Hope Valley Elementary School, 15 Thelma Drive, Hope Valley – District 2

Precinct #1403 – Hope Valley Grange Hall, 1116 Main Street, Hope Valley – District 3

 

Voters must bring a valid photo ID to the polls. Voters can determine their polling place and view a sample ballot through the RI Secretary of State’s website at: https://vote.sos.ri.gov/
