Vacancy: Tax Board of Review

The Board of Assessment Review hears and considers second level appeals of property owners
concerning the amount of his or her assessed valuation as determined by the Tax Assessor. A
background in real estate would be helpful, as market valuation is discussed regularly at the
hearings. This is a voluntary position, and may serve for a term of three-years at a time on a
Board of three members. Depending on interest, two alternates may also be appointed for one-
year terms. Appointments are made by the Town Council. Please make inquiries with the Tax
Assessor’s office at 401-377-7780 or via email to for more information.
