Over the past year an Ad Hoc Committee has been looking at the Town’s Zoning Ordinance and the Exit 1 and Exit 2 of Route 95.  A Statewide Planning Challenge Grant was received in August of 2006 specifically to look at development at Exit 1 of Route 95.  Pare Corporation from Lincoln, Rhode Island was hired to provide consulting services to the Town. 

The Ad Hoc Committee and the Consultant decided to look at Exit 1 as a Development District with new zones, and new Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations to address the proposed changes for the Exit. The Quick Links below show the District Map, Guidelines, Ordinances and Regulations proposed for the area. 

Public Workshops to address these proposals will occur in the fall. The public is encouraged to attend, and comments can be emailed to the Town at Planner@hopkintonri.org
