Police Officer

The Town of Hopkinton, RI is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list, effective July 1st, 2010, after police officer candidates complete application and testing procedures. Selected candidates must attend the RI Municipal Police Academy, prior to appointment as a probationary police officer.

Candidates must be U. S. citizens, 18 years of age or older, possess a valid  operator’s license and be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED issued by a state Department of Education at the time of application.

Candidates will be required to undergo a rigorous and highly competitive selection process that includes a physical fitness test, written examination, oral interviews, background investigation, medical examination and psychological testing.

Tree Warden

The Town of Hopkinton is seeking an individual to serve as Tree Warden, an annual appointment. Persons interested in the position must be a licensed arborist or become a licensed arborist within six months of assuming the office of tree warden.
